ABR…. Accredited Buyer Representative

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER’S AGENT Council (“REBAC”) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria. A real estate buyer’s representative represents the buyer who is purchasing property in a real estate transaction, and much more.
Why use a Buyer’s Representative?
A real estate buyer’s representative represents the buyer who is purchasing property in a real estate transaction. The buyer’s representative works for, and owes fiduciary responsibilities to, the real estate buyer and has buyer’s best interests in mind throughout the process. Purchasing real estate is a complex and major transaction with many details to be handled. A buyer’s representative is responsible for protecting the buyer’s best interests.

  Certified Residential Specialist

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. Fewer than 5 percent of all REALTORS® hold the CRS Designation. There is a big difference between a CRS and other agents.   Certified Residential Broker

The Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) Designation is recognized industrywide as the symbol of excellence in brokerage management. The most successful brokerages are owned or managed by professionals holding the prestigious CRB designation. The CRB designation signifies a leader in the industry and the highest level of professional achievement and recognition in the specialized field of brokerage management. The designation is reserved for only the most dedicated conscientious and highly skilled managers.

  Graduate of the Real Estate Institute

The GRI designation is a real estate industry designation similar to various industry designations such as a CPA. This designation may only be earned after successfully completing a rigorous educational program. This program requires live course instruction from a statewide faculty selected because of extensive experience in their own areas of expertise. This designation is available only to members of the local, state and National Association of REALTORS®. GRI is recognized nationwide as the standard for real estate professionalism and knowledge.

  Masters in Real Estate

The MRE designation is awarded through the Colorado Association of REALTORS®. The MRE program is designed to provide advanced training beyond the GRI designation. It focuses on critical skills of the real estate business and provides education in current real estate topics & issues. The MRE designation signifies a broker highly dedicated to professional development.

  Certified International Property Specialist

A Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) is an individual with proven expertise in the specialized profession of international real estate. They have met both the CIPS Educational Program requirements and have practcial business experience. The CIPS program is administered through the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) International Operations Section. NAR studies show that CIPS designees are highly experienced, both in real estate and in working with clients from diverse cultures and countries. The CIPS Network is comprised of 1,300 real estate professionals who deal in all types of real estate, but with one common element: they are focused specifically on the “international” market. Whether traveling abroad to put deals together, assisting foreign investors, helping local buyers invest abroad, or serving an immigrant niche in local markets, CIPS members are consumers’ best resource to ensure they are dealing with a professional skilled in the unique aspects of international real estate.

  Accredited Luxury Home Specialist and a member of the Luxury Home Council

Members of the Luxury Home Council who hold the Accredited Luxury Home Specialist Designation are part of an elite membership of top real estate professionals throughout the United States. Members must subscribe to a dedication like no others. They strive to provide exceptional service to affluent clients through rigorous education focusing on the Luxury Home Market and their understanding of the special demands of affluent buyers and sellers.   Resort and Second Home Property Specialist

This certification recognizes that the graduate understands the essentials of buying, selling, or managing resort properties and second homes for recreation, investment, and development by U.S. and international clients and customers in the United States. The focus is on developing the skills required to be successful in the second-home vacation and investment market. Designees are competent in using market statistics and knowledge of the motivations for a second-home purchase to develop a business strategy and make business decisions about capturing and serving the market. Additionally, they can identify the impact of trends and issues on business strategy and client and customer service.

   The REALTORS® Land Institute

is dedicated to building knowledge, building relationships, and building business for its members — the extraordinary real estate professionals who broker, lease, sell, develop, and manage our most precious resource: the land. Members of the organization specialize in land brokerage related to:
(1) farms, ranches, recreational, and other specialty land properties;
(2) undeveloped tracts of land;
(3) transitional and development land;
(4) subdivision and lot wholesaling;
(5) site selection and assemblage of land parcels.
